PitchbookNews reported today that Brentwood Associates has acquired a majority stake in Sundance Catalog, a specialty retailer for women founded by Robert Redford in 1989. Brentwood purchased its stake from ACI Capital and Webster Capital, both of which will retain minority ownership. The transaction marks the ninth investment out of Brentwood Associate Private Equity IV, the firm’s most recent fund. The newsletter reported that Brentwood Associates has been busy recently, announcing successful exits from Filson Holdings, Array Marketing Group and Ariat International.
