Veggie Grill, the largest veggie-centric, premium fast-casual brand in the U.S., announced today that the highly anticipated Beyond Burger™ will be available on Wednesday, December 14 at all of its 28 locations. Created by Beyond Meat, the Beyond Burger is the world’s first plant-based burger that looks, cooks and tastes so much like fresh ground beef it’s being sold in the meat section of grocery stores.
As the first fast-casual restaurant to serve the revolutionary burgers, the VG Beyond Burger will be served on a classic sesame bun piled high with grilled onions, melted American veggie cheese, tomato, crisp iceberg lettuce and a house-made signature sauce. The introduction of the Beyond Burger is the latest way Veggie Grill is providing the most original and craveable options for veggie-positive guests.
“The chance to bring the Beyond Burger to our mindful guests first is an amazing opportunity,” said Veggie Grill CEO Steve Heeley. “Our partnership with Beyond Meat will allow more people to experience this new protein which we believe is not only the future, but the most delicious option on the market. Since our launch in 2006, Veggie Grill has become the go-to destination for veggie-centric food and this partnership is a bold affirmation of Veggie Grill’s mission to bring innovative, craveable, affordable veggie-centric food to the U.S. This new burger blows away perceptions of what veggie food can be.”
“Our goal is to bring The Beyond Burger—and the benefits of delicious, plant-based protein—to as many people as possible, and Veggie Grill is an ideal partner to expand that accessibility,” said Ethan Brown, founder and CEO of Beyond Meat. “Like Beyond Meat, Veggie Grill’s consumer base includes the large and growing market of flexitarian consumers who seek plant-based meats as a way to enjoy the traditional dishes they love without the downsides of animal protein.”
